One of the toughest changes that are to be made in bikes is the transmission system which has been in practice over years. Browning system of transmission is found to be used for many years which were invented by Bruce W. Browning in mid seventies. A common shifter is present in this system which is used to make transmission from one level to the other. This system of operation is completely used for machine controlled automatic shifting. A bike with an efficient transmission system will always perform better that the one without this system. Now days in modern bikes automated transmission system with sensors are used to reduce the efforts of the users. The availability of sensors helps in the automatic shifting of levels based on the load and speed variations in the bike.
