NEED FOR AIR FILTERS

The purpose of an air filter is to provide obstacle against the dust from flowing into the engine in order to maintain the engine performance. In some cases it will be the air filters doing the job. In such cases the filter must be replaced regularly to sustain the power of the engine. A dirty filter may not allow the appropriate amount of air into the engine to burn the fuel so that lot of fuel gets wasted reducing the engine performance. Absence of filters in the bike may cause severe damages to the exhaust system of the bike. As a result the torque –speed characteristics of the engine will decline ultimately leading to the decrease in efficiency of the bike. Since the filtering mechanism is designed in such a way to remove the dust the bike maintenance is quite tougher without filters.
