Wheels made from the materials like the alloys of aluminum are referred as alloy wheels. The main properties that differentiate it from the others are the loss in weight when compared to the steel wheels of same size. The cost is little higher when compared with the standard steel wheel. Because of their shining nature they have no need to be painted dislike the steel wheels. But corrosion is possible in this case so that it needs a regular maintenance which may lead to leakage of air. Because of their high price it is often repaired rather than replacement in case of damage. Use of low quality wheels with less mechanical and tensile strength may reduce the overall performance of the bike. Especially the mileage of the vehicle will be considerably reduced
