Exhaust system consists of exhaust pipes and cylinders. The design of exhaust pipes should be thriftier to achieve long life. These pipes are constructed with special heat resistant materials to resist the high temperatures resulting from combustion. They are responsible for out-letting the harmful gases produced by the combustion of fuel. The harmful gases like carbon monoxide, hydrogen peroxide etc… affects the performance of the bike if not treated at a proper time. Now days, bikes with a large capacity engine having four cylinders are provided with two exhaust systems. The most important requirement of the exhaust system is that it should satisfy all the conditions of the environment pollution control board. In modern exhaust systems mufflers and dampers are available to enhance the speed torque characteristics of the bike.
